I can’t sit cross cross without pain or discomfort...

    So I’ve been trying to up my flexibility, and basically overhaul my workout routine in general. I’ve implemented more calisthenics, cardio, and stretching after each work out, but one thing I want to made a focal point is my hip mobility and flexibility.

    I was told that for one to be able to loosen up the hips, the issue is more with stretching the facia and connective tissue around the area as opposed to the muscles, and this would mean that I would need to sit cross crossed or doing some other position for a long period of time before it loosens up.

    Are there any tips on how to open up these hips? Is what I’ve been told even true? Are there any hip opening exercises that have helped you guys be able to sit without fidgeting from discomfort??????
