Usually people suggest training oversplits for your left/right splits as soon as you’re relatively close to the ground. Does the ground same principle apply for middle splits?

I’ve been stuck about 4 inches off the ground for my middle splits for months now, and I don’t even feel a stretch there. Just stuck. Been considering working on oversplits but wasn’t sure how to actually incorporate oversplit training.

Why not add weight? I was stuck with my front splits but oversplits were really awkward for me. I used a weight vest or had someone push on my shoulders while I did my contractions and I busted through the plateau.
